New UK Visa Rules

The Home Secretary has announced a comprehensive strategy to reduce migration levels and tackle issues within the immigration system.

🔍 Key Measures:
🚫 End to Dependants’ Entry: No more entry for dependants arriving in the UK.
💼 Salary Thresholds: Increased minimum salaries for overseas workers and sponsors.
⚖️ Addressing Exploitation: Measures to combat exploitation within the immigration system.
📈 Impact on Net Migration: Approximately 300,000 individuals who arrived in the UK last year may no longer be eligible.

🗓️ Changes Coming in April 2024:
💰 Skilled Workers’ Earning Threshold: Raised from £26,200 to £38,700.
🤝 Family Sponsorship Income Requirement: Increased to £38,700.
🎓 Graduate Visa Route Review: Under consideration.
🚫 Dependents for Student visa Holders: No longer allowed from January 2024.

🩹 Health and Care Workers: 101,000 Health and Care visas issued, with 120,000 visas granted to dependants.

💼 Visa Applicants Note: Immigration health surcharge will increase to £1,035 per year from Jan 2024.
